Mountain #8 of #EpicRace -- Canyons

After we skied Vail on Friday, it was back in the car for a 6.5 hour drive to Park City, UT so we could hit up the Canyons for mountain #8 of the #EpicRace! Once we got in to town, we met up with Joe and Steve from Colorado who are also competing in the EpicRace for a drink and some pizza. We met them at Northstar on day 1 and have kept in touch, so it was fun to meet up again.

The next morning we were up bright and early to get to the resort before opening at 9am. They had an open air gondola that ran from the parking lot up to the main gondola to whisk you up the mountain.  Definitely saved us from having to walk! We skied with Joe and Steve for a few runs and had a great time taking a few laps. Then it was back in the car to drive the 9 hours back to Tahoe.

But before we left town, we headed over to Soul Poles to pick up some custom bamboo ski poles with our Push-Me-Pull-You logo and our name engraved on them.  So excited to show these off on the slopes!

We also filmed the following funny video with Joe and Steve. Backstory: When we first met them at Northstar, I asked them what hotel in South Lake they were staying at.  When they told me which one, I asked them if they saw an in-room magazine called Reno-Tahoe that had a hot springs image on the cover. They said yes and I was like, "Oh, that's us on the cover." It was a pretty funny moment.  Well, they brought the magazine with them all the way to Utah!
